Monotech Systems has signed a distribution agreement with Kongsberg Precision Cutting
Systems (PCS) to market and distribute its Kongsberg X and C Series digital cutting systems
in India, strengthening its portfolio of finishing solutions for the signage and display industry.
The agreement was signed by TP Jain, Managing Director, Monotech Systems, and Stuart
Fox, CEO, Kongsberg PCS, during Printing United Expo 2026, held from 23–25 September
at the Las Vegas Convention Centre in the US.
The partnership brings Kongsberg’s digital cutting technology to Indian sign and display
producers facing growing demands for shorter production runs, faster turnaround times,
more complex applications and the use of sustainable materials. The X and C Series
systems combine precision cutting, high-speed performance and flexible tooling to help
businesses improve productivity while maintaining consistent output quality.
Commenting on the partnership, Jain said the systems offered the speed, precise tool
movements and robust engineering required by today’s production environments. Their
flexible tooling options, he added, would enable faster turnaround times and consistent
quality across a wider range of materials. Monotech Systems looks forward to helping Indian
customers address evolving market requirements through the latest cutting technologies.
The Kongsberg X Series is designed for cutting, creasing and high-speed milling across a
broad range of applications. Features include automated tool calibration, quick tool changes
and upgrade options, allowing users to adapt to different materials and job specifications.
The system is intended to help signage producers reduce production bottlenecks and meet demanding delivery schedules without compromising precision.
The Kongsberg C Series is engineered for high-performance, continuous production in
demanding environments. Its carbon-composite traverse and rack-and-pinion drive support
fast and accurate processing, while versatile tooling enables it to handle a wide variety of
conventional and unconventional substrates. Applications include rigid boards, soft signage
and other display graphics, with cutting and milling capabilities available on a single platform.
The Indian signage and display market is evolving as customers seek interactive signage,
personalised graphics, more elaborate displays and solutions using sustainable materials.
These trends place greater pressure on print-and-cut workflows, requiring producers to
handle diverse substrates and job sizes while controlling costs and delivery times.
Through the new distribution agreement, Monotech Systems aims to equip Indian signage
businesses with technologies that combine precision, flexibility and automation, helping them
respond to changing customer expectations and expand their application capabilities. |
