DuPont Artistri introduces direct-to-film inks

DuPont Artistri, a renowned leader in the field of digital inkjet inks, is revolutionizing the world of digital textile printing with its latest innovation, the Artistri P1600 direct-to-film (DTF) pigment inks. This breakthrough product was officially launched at the prestigious ITMA 2023 event in Milan, Italy, showcasing the future of vibrant color in the digital printing industry.

The Artistri P1600 inks have been meticulously developed to cater to the needs of DTF printers who demand exceptional print quality and vibrant, consistent colors across a variety of fabric types.

Tucker Norton, General Manager for DuPont Artistri Digital Inks, said, “With Artistri P1600 DTF inks, garment decorators will not only benefit from brightly printed fabrics, but these water-based inks can help contribute to their sustainability initiatives. P1600 inks were formulated using safer by design principles to assess and evaluate any potential environmental risks, are classified as non-hazardous under GHS and are HAPS (hazardous air pollutants) free. All this is possible through DuPont’s extensive ink formulation know-how, in combination with our best-in-class product stewardship and manufacturing to offer a compatible and reliable product that takes the quality of DTF printing to the next level.”

At ITMA 2023, visitors had the opportunity to witness the impressive print performance of Artistri water-based inks. Collaborative demonstrations took place at the ColorJet booth, allowing attendees to experience the capabilities of these inks firsthand. Additionally, the Artistri stand showcased an array of captivating print design samples from esteemed partners such as BYDi and ROQ, further highlighting the immense potential of Artistri inks.

Gary Weyman, EMEA Business Leader for DuPont Artistri Digital Inks, added, “Digital printing with pigment inks is gaining more space in textile printing due to minimal water usage which means a lower environmental footprint as it doesn't require steaming and washing steps in the printing process. In addition to the Artistri P1600 DTF inks, DuPont also showcased its product lineup for direct-to-garment (DTG) and roll-to-roll (RTR) printing. Among the featured products were the highly acclaimed Artistri P5500 pigment DTG inks. The RTR ink range included the Artistri P2700 and P3600 pigment inks, as well as the Artistri S1500 and S2500 dye sublimation inks, catering to the diverse needs of the digital printing industry.

The launch of the Artistri P1600 direct-to-film pigment inks further solidifies the company’s position as a global leader in the industry, shaping the future of digital printing one vibrant hue at a time.
