In a groundbreaking announcement at Labelexpo, Fiery, LLC and Esko have unveiled a
strategic technology partnership aimed at revolutionizing digital print technologies and
packaging workflows. This collaboration represents a significant leap forward in the industry,
as these two innovative companies join forces to develop cutting-edge solutions.
The core focus of this partnership is to pioneer advancements in digital print technologies
and streamline packaging workflows. By pooling their expertise and resources, Fiery and
Esko are set to accelerate the pace of innovation in the realm of print and packaging.
A key aspect of their collaboration is the development of seamless workflow integrations.
This collaborative effort will enable the rapid creation of new solutions tailored to meet the
specific needs of print suppliers in the digital print and packaging sectors. The aim is to
empower these suppliers with tools that enhance efficiency, speed, and overall productivity.
The unveiling of the integration between Fiery Impress, the turnkey Digital Front End (DFE)
designed for industrial inkjet presses and inline manufacturing lines, and Esko Automation
Engine, a leading prepress workflow automation system, marks a pivotal moment. This
integration not only signifies technological synergy but also presents a user-friendly solution
for customers. It allows them to seamlessly transition their existing workflows to embrace the
capabilities of digital print technologies seamlessly.
Maria Brilaki, Sr. Director, Product Management, Fiery explained, “Esko is an ideal partner,
sharing our vision for simplifying print workflows through digital technologies. By joining
forces, we can bring to market integrated packaging workflow solutions that optimize the
design to production to finishing process and help our customers achieve more precise color
reproduction, higher digital press efficiency, and sustainability.”
“Esko has had a seamless integration between the Esko DFE and Automation Engine since
the very start. As Fiery is a strong partner and Fiery Impress is driving multiple brands of
digital presses being used by our customers, it was the logical decision of both companies to
integrate both products and offer an end-to-end workflow for digital print,” said Geert De
Proost, Director of Software Product Management, Esko.
