Heidelberg has unveiled the latest generation of Versafire digital presses, representing a
significant advancement in the integration of offset and digital printing technologies. Drawing
from their extensive experience of installing thousands of systems globally, Heidelberg offers
an integration experience characterized by end-to-end consistent color management and
intuitive operation.
In today's printing industry, digital printing continues to be a lucrative growth market,
constituting approximately 20 percent of the global print production volume and growing at
an annual rate of about three percent. Heidelberg's new Versafire digital presses are
specifically designed for the commercial sector, enhancing their capabilities for businesses.
The company has introduced the Versafire LV and Versafire LP digital printing systems, both
equipped with an improved Prinect Digital Frontend (DFE) and a new user interface. This
software integration ensures a flexible, standardized, highly productive, and intuitive
combination of offset and digital printing technology. The focus on end-to-end consistent
color management simplifies operations, addressing the skills shortage in the industry.
The Versafire LP is tailored for cost-effective production of larger volumes and short runs,
boasting impressive productivity with up to a million clicks per month. It stands out with
features such as automatic register, calibration, in-line color measurement, and content
monitoring, ensuring maximum reliability in production.
On the other hand, the Versafire LV offers additional flexibility with an optional fifth inking
unit and a choice of seven spot colors. This versatility makes it an ideal solution for a wide
range of applications in short-run printing. Its automation and upgrade options provide
businesses with flexibility and investment security.
