Monotech Systems recently hosted a special event in Delhi on November 3rd to unveil
Ricoh's two advanced printing machines in the Indian market. The occasion brought together
more than 200 professionals from the printing industry across the country. These cuttingedge
digital production presses, namely the Ricoh Pro C9500 and Ricoh Pro C7500, have
been introduced to replace their predecessors, the Ricoh Pro C9200 and Ricoh Pro C7200.
Tej Prakash Jain, the Managing Director of Monotech Systems, underscored the importance
of innovation in their partnership with Ricoh, a collaboration that commenced in March 2021.
He highlighted their remarkable track record, having successfully installed over 350 Ricoh
digital printing presses, including 75 specialized color digital production engines. Ricoh has
emerged as the preferred choice for various digital printing applications in the Indian market,
including commercial, photo, packaging, label, books, and security printing segments.
Jain elaborated on the strengths of Ricoh's new production engines, with the Ricoh Pro
C9500 tailored for long-run jobs, bridging the gap between digital and offset printing. On the
other hand, the Ricoh Pro C7500 is a multi-color production engine boasting an extended
color gamut of 11 colors, making it an excellent option for commercial, photo, and packaging
markets. Notably, both models are field-upgradable for speed, and the Ricoh Pro C7500 can
seamlessly transition from a 4-color to a 5-color system, marking an industry-first
achievement.
Koji Miyao, President of Ricoh Graphic Communications BU and Corporate Officer at Ricoh,
spoke highly of India's dedication to business. He highlighted Ricoh's values, focusing on
environmental sustainability and corporate governance. Miyao also announced the launch of
the Ricoh B2 digital inkjet printing press at the upcoming Drupa event in 2024.
Responding to a question on any special pricing for countries where high capital investment
is an issue with many customers, Miyao said that the price of the machine is generally the
same globally but Ricoh can consider lower pricing for some countries by limiting the
configuration of the press as per some customers’ requirements.
Talking about the introduction of new press, Jain expressed that the C7500 was their
flagship product, popular as an all-rounder for the needs of photo, commercial, label and
packaging segments. This engine addresses all this requirements particularly with reducing
print runs.
For volume printing the 9500C would be a workhorse and also offering many additional
options for value addition on digital print.
The company also invited some of their esteemed customers from different segments of the
printing and they spoke about their experiences with Ricoh digital production systems in their
segment.
