Heidelberg, a global leader in printing technology, has introduced its latest innovation, the Gallus One inkjet system, into the Asia Pacific market. The launch event took place during a four-day label printing open house held at Heidelberg Indonesia's showroom in Jakarta from January 30th to February 2nd. With an impressive turnout of 230 participants from across the Asia Pacific Region, the event garnered significant attention and acclaim.
Dario Urbinati, CEO of the Gallus Group, and Thomas Frank, Heidelberg's regional director for Asia Pacific, welcomed label printers from Asia and Oceania, showcasing the capabilities of the Gallus One inkjet system. This state-of-the-art printing solution is equipped with a range of automation features designed to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO) while ensuring unparalleled print quality, consistency, and reliability.
One of the standout features of the Gallus One is its fully digital printing press, which introduces a new level of ease of operation. A newly developed automated print head cleaning method eliminates the need for manual cleaning, thereby extending the lifespan of the print heads and enhancing productivity. The Gallus One can achieve printing speeds of 70 meters per minute, even when using high-opacity white ink of up to 85%. With a printing width of 340 mm, it can accommodate a wide variety of self-adhesive materials, including papers, plastics, and unsupported materials.
Attendees at the label printing open house had the opportunity to witness the Gallus One in action and experience its advanced capabilities firsthand. Further extensions and enhancements to the Gallus One will be unveiled during drupa 2024 in Düsseldorf, solidifying Heidelberg's commitment to driving innovation and excellence in the printing industry.
