Xerox has unveiled the Proficio Production Series at the PRINTING United Expo, introducing
two new digital color presses, the Xerox Proficio PX300 and Proficio PX500. The launch
marks a major milestone for Xerox, ushering in a new era of production print innovation
aimed at helping print providers thrive in the fast-evolving mid-production color segment.
The Proficio name, derived from the Latin verb “to make progress, advance, and succeed”,
symbolizes Xerox’s mission to empower print providers to anticipate, adapt, and accelerate
in today’s dynamic market. Built on a next-generation platform, the Proficio lineup brings
together Xerox’s most advanced technologies in imaging, automation, and AI-assisted
intelligence, forming a cohesive ecosystem engineered for measurable gains in
performance, efficiency, and profitability.
The Proficio PX300 and PX500 are purpose-built for the graphic arts and commercial print
sectors, offering exceptional automation, colour consistency, and application versatility. Key
highlights include: Speeds of 85 and 100 pages per minute, enabling flexible production to
match varying business demands; Ultra HD resolution with an optional fifth colour station,
expanding creative capabilities with Beyond CMYK embellishments such as fluorescent pink
for gamut extension, and clear or low-gloss clear for special effects; New Performance
Modules that maintain precise colour density and front-to-back registration in real time,
without slowing production. They also neutralize static buildup on synthetic media for
improved stacking and finishing quality.
A new Xerox Print Server powered by Fiery FS700X, is designed exclusively for the PX300
and PX500, offering enhanced automation and streamlined job management.
Both presses integrate seamlessly into the Xerox end-to-end production print ecosystem,
connecting with Xerox FreeFlow Workflow Software, XMPie personalized communication
tools, and AI-assisted analytics. This unified system accelerates job setup, automates
repetitive processes, and provides real-time operational insights, helping print providers cut
costs, optimize efficiency, and increase profitability.
Xerox plans to begin regional rollouts and order bookings in March 2026, with shipments
expected in the first half of 2026..
